Santas last stop!

We have been so blessed with wonderful families and have loved getting to spend time with them during the Christmas season. We want to wish everyone a happy and wonderful new year!

Whew, it has been one party after another! We drove all the way home from Arkansas on Saturday to see what Santa had left at our house. Once again, Reagan was the perfect traveler and slept most of the way. We have had her seat turned around for the past month so I think that really helped. We got in around 9:30 and couldn't wait to open our gifts.
Reagan enjoyed opening a few gifts then lost interest. We saved some for her to open the next morning.

Of course, she loved the tissue paper and cardboard. I lost count of how many times we had to pull it from her mouth!
Our living room that has been destroyed!! We told ourselves that we were not going to buy a lot for Reagan this Christamas but every time we went shopping we would see something that we thought she would like. Between both families she has been completely spoiled this Christmas and we have run out of room for her toys. As you can see our living room has been overtaken by Reagan! And her birthday is only a month away!

Making us a great breakfast!

Christmas with the Bartley's

After church on Sunday we hit the road for Arkansas. Reagan was a perfect traveler and slept most of the way. (We later learned that she was a little sick and that might have been why she slept so good!) We took two good stops and made it there in about 12 hours. We had a great time and enjoyed spending time with my mom, dad, and sister. My brother is stationed in California and he didn't get off for Christmas. We missed him but we hope to see him soon.
Reagan really hit it off with Laura, they became fast friends. Laura let her open one of her gifts early and she and mom had fun letting Reagan knock over all the blocks.
It has been a Christmas tradition of ours to have a Christmas Eve "party". We make everyones favorite appetizers and desserts then watch a movie and play games.

On Christmas morning we waited until Reagan woke up and then we got to open presents. Reagan enjoyed opening the first two and then found other things to get into. It was an Elmo Christmas. She got lots of Elmo toys to play with from Nana.
Poppy made Reagan a special Mickey Mouse pancake for breakfast.
Taking a break from all the excitement.

And she's out! What a great Christmas.

Baby Dedication

On Sunday the 20th Anniston and Reagan were dedicated at church. We have been so blessed by the Lord with a beautiful and healthy baby and we vow to raise her in church and to teach her to love the Lord with all her heart.

Christmas with Grandmommie and Papaw

Sweet cousins
Austin wrapped Reagans gifts all by himself. Boy, was there alot of tape. They are such good buddies. If they are ever in the same room you can always find Reagan right behind Austin.
Reagans big gift was a kitchen. Justin put it together that night and the next morning when she got up she was amazed. She loves it and will play for over an hour at a time.

Christmas with the Jennings's

We had a great visit with Justin's grandparents, aunt Karen, uncle Mike , and cousins Clay and Matthew. We missed visiting with Shannon, Mark, and little Mark but they got snowed in in North Carolina. We always have a lively gift exchange with them because everyone plays tricks on the person whose name they have drawn for that year. We enjoy getting to visit with everyone and playing a few games.

Uncle Mike got Andy an airhorn (see I told you about the tricks!) and Austin blew it and it scared Reagan so much that she jumped into Matthews lap!
Reagan is not one who likes to sit still. She is always on the go.

Ms. Claus

What is daddy doing? I better check it out.

Reagan and Clay were good buddies.

Christmas Fun

Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Reagan was so interested in turning the lights on and off. Her eyes would light up when the lights would come on.

Once again, playing with the lights. She didn't take a whole lot of interest in the tree thank goodness, although, Justin has a 4ft tree upstairs that she has pulled down twice. Luckily we caught it before it landed on her!
Trying on her new Elmo slippers that Aunt Linda got for her. Reagan is in LOVE with Elmo. She never watches TV but she would hear the Elmo commercials that came on and she would be drawn to the TV. Since then, she enjoys anything Elmo which gets on Justins nerves because he is a HUGE cookie monster fan. (He has learned to like him though and has bought her several Elmos)

Reagans second snow! Reagan was sick this day so we didn't let her out to play. I was sad that she couldn't enjoy it. Hopefully we will get another round sometime this winter.

Reagan is walking!

December 1 Reagan took her first steps! The first couple of days she took about 2 steps and the next took 7-8. Now she is pretty confident and walks all over the house. She is so precious to watch!

Playing House

Reagans favorite thing to do now is play in her house. We found this at our neighbors yard sale for ten dollars and have definately gotten our monies worth! As you can see in the pictures she is somewhat of a daredevil and will climb on anything you give her. She also likes to play peek a boo and get "mail" through her mail slot.

9 month doctor visit

Reagan had her 9 month well baby visit Thursday. She has gained 2 pounds and 3 inches since her 6 month visit. She now weighs 23 lbs. and 14 oz and is 30 1/8 in tall. She is still off the charts with her size.
We have been so blessed to have such a happy and healthy baby. We enjoy her so much! Her newest thing she likes to do is play peek-a-boo. She will pull her shirt up or find a blanket and say boooo. She even did this in church last week to the people sitting behind us! Oops! She also loves when we sing to her and she will clap along for us. She has started eating more table food and loves being able to feed herself. Reagan also has been cruising alot (walking around objects while holding on), we expect her to take off any day.

Happy Halloween!

Reagan's first halloween was so much fun! We enjoyed getting our little ladybug dressed up to visit family and friends.

We wanted to have a picture with the cousins, but Reagan was too excited to sit still. She had had a busy and tiring weekend (at Tech Homecoming) and was being a WILD child!

She enjoyed all her halloween treats from Grandmommy and Papaw.

Pumpkin Patch

Thursday my mom and I took Reagan to the Mayfield Farm and Pumpkin Patch in Athens to get her first pumpkin. It turned out to be a beautiful day for it.

Her first hayride. She was busy checking out the tractor.

So many choices...which one to choose?

Mom had to carry the pumpkins for us since I had Reagan.

Instead of a sand box there was a corn box. I was afraid that it would all go in her mouth but suprisingly she just played with it. I think she enjoyed all the new textures that day.

Now we wait for daddy to carve the pumpkins for us. I am looking forward to roasting the seeds, yum!
