Potty and Funny Phrases

Fingers crossed...we think Reagan is finally potty trained!!! Yay, no more diapers to buy :) We have been trying for a while now and I think the turning point was a book I happened to find on her bookshelf about a girl named Hannah and her new potty. I don't even know where it came from but boy, am I glad I found it! Reagan will now use the potty and say I'm just like Hannah :)

Our big girl! (who wore panties to church Sunday night)

Reagan has also cracked me up lately. She is saying the funniest things. Her favorite phrases are No way Jose, Alrighty, and Probably. This morning she found some M&M's and she said "Mommy when I pee pee in the potty I will get a bean. How's that? Sound good?"

Enjoying her new chair a friend of mine gave her and hamming it up for the camera!

Dear Santa....

Reagan has already been thinking about what she wants for Christmas this year....a race car. She even wrote a letter to Santa complete with stickers! Sooooo, me and Justin have talked about it and we hate the idea of spending $400 on a car so we thought about looking on Craigs List or maybe a consignment store. Well Justin was running errands in town the other day and happens to see a used car sitting out with the trash in someones yard. He goes to the their door and asks if they are getting rid of it and if so can he have it. The man said it was 19 years old and the charger and battery didn't work anymore. Well Justin thought he could fix it up and buy a charger and battery and that would be alot cheaper than buying a new one. So long story short he washes it and does some research online. The next morning I got to sleep in (I think for the first time all summer) and Justin tells me that they got it running and want to show it to me. Here is what I find...

Her Santa Claus letter

Look at the excitement on that face!

Here we go!

I laughed so much I could hardly breathe! Poor Reagan thought she was really controlling this car. She had a GREAT ride all around the yard!

Seriously...are we really that cheap?????

Before you start feeling too sorry for her we found a car at Wal-Mart on sale that we are buying her for Christmas. In the meantime I think this will do :)

Fun with Anniston

Anniston came to our house last week and she and Reagan had a great time together. I think they have missed seeing one another every day! Whenever Anniston is not around, Reagan has an imaginary friend named Kate (which is what she calls Anniston). We sometimes forget her in the store and have had to go back in. This really tries my patience! Anyway, they had a good time at the pool, playing with toys, and taking a bath.

Best Friends

Pool Fun

This summer we have really enjoyed going to the pool. Now that Reagan wears water wings it is a lot more relaxing for me! She swims around all by herself but Justin is definitely her buddy at the pool. They play ring around the roses, simon says, the animal game (which is basically Reagan on Justin's back and him acting like different animals. My personal favorite to watch is the elephant. HA!)

Relaxing on floats. This lasted about a minute for Reagan...she does not sit still!

She loves to jump off the side and also off the steps.

Lake Lure, NC

It's that time of the year again...time for the big Jennings family golf tournament!

Each year Justin family meets in Lake Lure, NC for golfing, fun, and games. We were super excited that the week fell during July 4th. The resort that we stay at always has some neat things planned for the kids plus awesome fireworks.

We loved spending time with Justin's grandparents (while there we celebrated his grandmothers 80th birthday!), his Uncle Mike, Aunt Karen, and cousins Clay, Matthew, Shannon and her husband Mark and son Mark who is 4.

We had to make a stop at Chuck E. Cheese along the way. I think Justin enjoys this more than Reagan!

We visited the Kidsenses Museum in Rutherdforton, NC. Reagan got to grocery shop, ride a fire truck, be a newcaster, work in a restaurant, and so much more.

The golfers. Part of the fun is seeing who can outdo the others by wearing the craziest outfit. I'm surprised they let some of them on the course :) Mike and Clay were the big winners this year and Justin and Larry came in second.

Daddy's caddy.

Waiting on the beach for the fireworks.

Reagan liked the fireworks but said they were too loud!

Playing in the sand.

For the 4th, they had a kids zone with inflatables and fire truck rides. So fun!

Reagan and Mark loved being around one another. We call them kissing cousins because boy do they like to kiss and hug on each other! We literally had to pull them apart a few times :) Reagan finally found someone as affectionate as her.

Happy 4th!

Happy Fathers Day!

Thanks Justin for being such a GREAT husband and daddy!

Daddy is #1!

Arkansas

After school got out we headed to Arkansas to visit my family. Reagan loved playing with Nana, Papaw, and Aunt Laura. Of course they spoil her rotten and she enjoyed playing with her new water table, pool, going to the farm, and riding the 4-wheeler. We had a great time and are looking forward to seeing them again in July!
