Doctors Visit
Today we went to the doctor for an ultrasound and found out that Reagan weighs 8 pounds already!! I am only 35 weeks, but everything is measuring 38 weeks. I am getting kind of concerned that if we wait 3-4 more weeks we could have a 10 pound baby! I will post pics of the ultrasound later. We were kind of concerned because her lips look HUGE, but her cheeks are still pudgy and cute.

Christmas 2008
We have had such a wonderful holiday season this year. We have been richly blessed with wonderful family and friends.
It has been a busy week. Justins grandparents and aunt, uncle, and cousins came in from North Carolina Friday and we enjoyed spending time with them. The weather was great and we enjoyed being outside Friday. Sunday we traveled to Knoxville to celebrate with Justin's aunt Linda and family (I forgot my camera so I dont have any pics of that day) and Tuesday we had our annual Christmas "hunt" with the Jennings family. Christmas day Justin and I enjoyed opening gifts from each other (he spoiled me again this year), and then we went to see Marley and Me at the movies - it was so good but we both cried twice!
Larry explaining the game this year. He takes this very seriously and plans all year for what he will make us do to get our gifts. Needless to say, it is very entertaining!
Larry telling the Christmas story to Austin. Austin was so excited to open gifts he could barely sit still.
Justins Aunt Karen and cousin Matthew.
The kids enjoyed playing with the boxes.
One thing that Uncle Mike got Justin this year was a bug zapper. It looks like a mini tennis racket and packs a lot of punch (We know this because Wood could not resist and stuck his hand on it!) So Justin and his cousins go looking for bugs that night and had fun zapping them. The next night I went to the garage and noticed several bugs in there, so I told Justin about it. Later I went back out to the garage - and I wish I had a picture of this - but he was standing in the back of his truck bed with the zapper and an umbrella (I don't know what that was for) waiting for the bugs to get close enough to zap. It was very funny - until he about broke the garage light! It does not take much to entertain us!

Doctors Visit
We went to the doctor today for my glucose test and ultrasound. Everything looks great, she weighs 3 lbs 1 oz and has chubby little cheeks! She also has hair which I am really excited about since Justin and I both were bald for a long time. I gained 7 pounds this month, I hope that this does not become the trend! We cannot wait for her to get here!

Nursery - In Progress
We did not know if we would have room for a chair because the furniture is so big. (Note to self - always take measurements BEFORE buying furniture.) But this chair works great and we may eventually reastin it or paint it.
This painting took me two hours to paint and I did it on the floor. By the time I got up I could barely move! Boy, did I feel old.
Justin and his dad built this bookshelf when he went to college and we had had it in the garage (Dad does it look familiar?) . We decided to paint it the same color as the wall and it blends in real nicely.
Our Eventful Furniture Trip
Monday we went to Babies R Us to pick up our new nursery furniture. We were so excited to be able to set up the room. We ordered three pieces of furniture and knew that we could not get it all in the truck so our good friends Wood and Elizabeth volunteered to help us and drive their Tahoe. We thought that afterwards we would take them out to eat somewhere nice for all their help. Little did we know, but the furniture was already assembled and the packaging material made it huge!! We were thinking that we might have to make two trips. Wood and Justin worked for a long time trying to get it strapped down and secure and eventually had to buy more rope at Wal-Mart. When they came back to the truck the wind had picked up and blew the crib box out of the truck! Then the heavens let loose and the rain fell. The guys decided to take a break under the awning of the store and when they did the crib box started to fall out again! Of course, Justin's instinct is to try to catch it and when he runs out there his feet slip out from under him and falls flat on his behind (he has a nice bruise to show for it now). Oh no you say - well it gets worse, there is a car coming right at him and they have to swerve to miss him! Later when he could laugh about the situation we wondered what the conversation was like in that car! So we finally get strapped in and all thoughts of dinner are gone and we just want to get home. Of course, I am a nervous wreck because it is raining, we cant see out the back because of the two huge boxes, and it is dark by this time. Not a good combination! We get five minutes down the road and the gas light comes on. We stop for gas and the first pump won't take our card, nor the next one. So I have to go in and pay and then we can get on the road again. After we got lost once (we took the back way so that we would not have to drive on the interstate) we FINALLY made it home. I have never in 5 years been happier to be back in Decatur! Wood and Justin unloaded everything and believe it or not there was not a drop of rain on any of the furniture and the crib was still intact. Way to go Babies R Us! The furniture looks beautiful and now we are working on decorating. It is so much fun!
